The company acquired WoW #2681 for 25 Ethers worth around $70.000 and minted its web 3 username kpmgca.eth. It uses the NFT as its background photo on Twitter. As the blog post published by KPMG says, the purchase was the first step into the fast-growing technological innovation. The WoW collection includes 10.000 NFTs of diverse, inspiring and powerful women living on blockchain.

Crypto and Blockchain Services co-leader at the firm, Kareem Sadek mentioned that Web3 is the next iteration of the internet and it changes the way of interaction with brands, and socialization.

In early February, KPMG announced its first direct investment in cryptocurrencies, adding BTC and Ether to its balance sheet.
