Blockchain-based audio streaming app Audius revealed that it attracted $5 M from Katy Perry, Nas, The Chainsmokers, Jason Derulo, Pusha T, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and other stars. Representatives from various music-related spheres also backed the round. The names include the ex CEO/Chairman of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Martin Bandier, founder and co-chairman of Hitco Entertainment, Charles Goldstuck, and others.

More and more artists are becoming interested in the crypto and blockchain space.Previously, Katty Perry announced plans to release an NFT collection in December, Jason Derulo owns a CryptoPunk NFT. On August 16, Audius revealed cooperation with TikTok, as a result of which Audius users can use their music in TikTok videos.
The dapp, similar to Spotify, was created in 2018 by Roneil Rumburg and Forrest Browning.
