Amid the growth of the cryptocurrency market and the increasing demand for NFTs, many investment funds have expanded their portfolios for clients, allowing them to invest in digital assets. So, for example, in Germany, Union Investment intends to add BTC to the portfolios of its institutional investors, which, according to experts, will not only increase the fund's profit but also significantly affect the number of new clients.
In an interview with the popular Bloomberg publication, a representative of the above investment company said that only a certain list of users is going to be able to access bitcoin - these are private investors. They will be able to invest in MTC no more than 2% of the total capital of their portfolio.
“We're going to launch bitcoin-focused funds in the fourth quarter of 2021. We cannot give a more precise date yet,” commented Daniel Bat, one of the Union Investment managers.
