Tesla CEO Elon Musk is known as a fan of the Dogecoin (DOGE) cryptocurrency. The inventor has previously repeatedly tweeted this coin.

Musk, along with other famous people, such as rapper Snoop Dogg, sparked an explosion of interest in DOGE on the Internet. In parallel, Altcoin showed explosive growth in 2021.

Today, this digital currency is trading in the $ 0.06 region. Over the past day, Dogecoin's capitalization has grown by almost 7% to $ 7.82 billion. The coin is currently ranked 15th in the ranking of the largest digital currencies according to CoinMarketCap.

Elon Musk believes that the Coinbase exchange should list DOGE. Thus, even more, people will have access to the coin. When asked by a Twitter user if the Coinbase platform should integrate DOGE support, Musk wrote a short and clear "Yes!".

According to Google Trends, the number of searches related to the DOGE coin has been declining since mid-February 2021.

The hype is weakening, but it is possible that a series of new posts by Musk dedicated to this digital currency could provoke another surge of interest in it on the part of users of the World Wide Web. Most of all the "dog coin" is now interested in residents of the United States, Canada, and Turkey.
