The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele made another Bitcoin acquisition on Dec. 21. Before the transactions, he tweeted that El Salvador’s total size is 21,000 km2. Bukele mentioned he doesn't think it's a coincidence. He added the Bitcoin hashtag and El Salvador's flag to the post. Bitcoin's max supply is 21 M.

On the 21st day of the closing month of 2021 of the 21st century, El Salvador's pro-Bitcoin president bought 21 Bitcoins, implementing the buying process till 21:21:21.

Bukele posted the transaction records on Twitter.

El Salvador is the first and the only country so far that legalized BTC. The government has bought BTC several times. On October 27, 2021, Reuters reported that the country's total BTC holdings are 1.141 coins.

The country intends to acquire $500 M worth of Bitcoins. In November, at Bitcoin Week, President Bukele unveiled that the intentions include building a BTC city. The place will be near a volcano and use its natural energy for the city as well as for BTC mining.

At the moment, Bitcoin trades at around $48.600. Its market dominance index stands at 40.54%.
