Digital Asset is a software company that is operating on a blockchain. It has its smart contract programming language, which is known as Digital Asset Modeling Language (DAML) and now it’s going to be integrated with R3 Corda, Amazon’s database service AWS Aurora and Hyperledger Fabric.

At the Synchronize Europe conference in London company announced that now it is going to provide more flexibility to developers who work with financial-related apps. Earlier this year, DAML announced itself as an open-source language.
This integration not only positions as a way to streamline workflows around some of the frequently-used ledgers, as Yubal Rooz the co-founder and CEO of Digital Asset mentioned, but it also implies the desire of once competitors work together.
Rooz commented on this: “Majority of blockchain players are concerned that by adopting a particular blockchain today, they are effectively betting on a horse, and not so many people like to improve their business by betting on horses. They want to be independent and make the right choice of technology at the exact time”.
The abstraction of DAML is the exact thing that distinguishes it from other smart-contract languages. Also, with the Hyperledger and Corda integration, developers won’t need to learn all the technical sides that vary in each blockchain, since the DAML application will run properly.
