Wright’s lawyers sent a letter to Blockstream with two BTC addresses allegedly belonging to Wright.
On one of them, 79 957 BTC is stored, on the other 31 000 BTC. According to lawyers, the self-proclaimed creator of the BTC in February 2020 lost access to them as a result of hacking.
They stated that Wright is still the owner of the funds and the company should not allow them to be moved. According to them, the entrepreneur also has all the rights to the name "Bitcoin" and the "database" of cryptocurrency.
Blockstream Strategy Director Samson Mow called the letter “idiotic.”
Users noticed that the address provided by Wright’s lawyers does appear in the court documents in the MtGox case.
