Ken Griffin, founder and CEO of Citadel hedge fund, sees Ether (ETH) as a more promising digital asset than Bitcoin (BTC). It is based on a network that acts as a platform for many projects and services.

In the future, ETH will become the leading payment instrument, the businessman said in an interview with DealBook. According to Griffin, bitcoin is harmful to the environment, its bandwidth is inferior to Ethereum. In addition, BTC is subject to the risks of hacking and fraud.

Ether has lower transaction costs and is less of a threat to the environment. The Citadel CEO also touched upon inflation in the US and the global economy.

According to the businessman, neither bitcoin nor ether can provide capital protection. Better tools, for example, a digital version of the dollar, can do this.

The head of hedge fund Citadel is not alone in his long-term outlook for ether. Billionaire Mark Cuban also recently stated that investing in altcoin is a more profitable venture.
