In particular, the cooperative of autonomous passenger carriers of the State of Ceará, whose capital is Fortaleza, intends to introduce a new option to purchase tickets using cryptocurrency by the end of this year.

Paying a trip in public transport with Bitcoins will be possible with the help of a special application that currently allows you to buy tickets using debit and credit cards.

In the near future, the application will support other cryptocoins.

“This is an attempt to reduce the bureaucracy, while simplifying the system for the user,” the cooperative said.
