Multiple world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has announced the release of a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) ahead of the fight against blogger Logan Paul.

“Right now my career is over, but my name will always live on because of what I have done, the legacy I left, and the mark I left in the sport,” Mayweather said.

On May 26, the athlete will release memorabilia, artwork, and animation in NFT form. IronBend, Reality Gaming Group, and Zytara Labs participated in the project.

On which marketplace non-fungible tokens will be presented is not specified.

In 2017, Mayweather promoted the initial coin offering (ICO) of the Stox predictive market analytics project. Two years later, the investor accused the blockchain platform and its founder Moshe Hogeg of misuse of more than $ 4.6 million.

In 2018, the US Securities and Exchange Commission fined Mayweather $ 614,000 for promoting the Centra Tech ICO. The boxer did not admit or deny the accusations of the regulator but agreed to pay the illegally received income, fine, and interest.

Before this, the Florida court recognized the project token as a security. The founders of Centra Tech were accused of defrauding investors. In 2020, one of them received a year in prison.
