The famous Portuguese football club Benfica de Macau will start accepting cryptocurrencies for payment: BTC, ETH and UTK (UTRUST), CoinDesk reports.
Holders of digital assets will be able to buy Benfica merchandise, as well as match tickets. According to representatives of Benfica, this decision was made as part of the modernization of the Internet strategy and with the aim of scaling it to a global level. So, at present, the number of fans of the Portuguese club worldwide has 14 million people.
Representatives of the club also noted that the use of cryptocurrency will avoid various problems with credit cards, including chargebacks and fraudulent payments. On the other hand, the accepted cryptocurrency will immediately be converted into fiat money, which will then be accumulated in the Benfica bank account.

As Nuno Koreya, UTK's CEO and co-founder, says, cooperation with a famous football club is another step forward for financial services' sphere, which use blockchain technologies.
