Last year, some media began to spread information that the online retailer Amazon allegedly plans to start accepting cryptocurrency when paying for goods and services. However, soon the press service of the giant called these messages fakes.

CEO Andy Jassi reiterated in an interview this week that Amazon has no plans to add cryptocurrency payments yet. However, the retailer may soon launch an option to buy and sell NFT tokens, interest in which is growing rapidly.

At the same time, he did not name any deadlines but only emphasized that the company does not want to activate the option to support bitcoin yet, since it does not see any need for it.

At the same time, Amazon is actively interested in blockchain technologies. Earlier it became known about the creation of a division of Amazon Blockchain.

In parallel, the online retailer began looking for employees to work in the decentralized services department. Several blockchain vacancies from this giant appeared on specialized sites at once.
