9 Crypto Firms Are in the Forbes Fintech 50 2022

2022’s Forbes Fintech 50 list includes a record number of crypto-focused companies. The list presents the most innovative private financial technology businesses. Digital asset firms together have attracted $6.5 bln in capital investments with the main part of it received in the previous 12 months.

FTX, a crypto exchange platform is the leader in the raised funds, securing $1.5 bln in private funding last year alone. In January 2021, the company attracted $500 M, and its valuation hit $32 bln. FTX is the 3rd most valuable private fintech company based or operating a business in the US. The value of FTX US is estimated at $8 bln.

The other eight companies included in the list are: a software infrastructure Alchemy, the developer of the Avalanche blockchain, Ava Labs, a data platform Chainanalyis, the creator and co-issuer of USDC Coin (USDC), Circle, a crypto custody Fireblocks, the NFT platform OpenSea, the developer of the Pax Dollar (USDP) stablecoin, Paxos, and the crypto investigation company TRM Labs.

Forbes reports that only two crypto firms on the list, Ava Labs and TRM Labs aren’t unicorns yet.
