Vitalik said that putting together the team was the main challenge in developing Ethereum. He added that he is happy with the current Ethereum Foundation team, but it took time to achieve there.

To the question of what advancement non-currency blockchain platforms have been seeing, Vitalik Buterin said that there is growing adoption in that aspect. He brought as an example the platform Sign in with Ethereum, which allows users to sign in to other websites using their Ethereum accounts.

Speaking of what other projects the Ethereum co-founder created that made a difference, Buterin mentioned the blog that allows him to share articles without depending on third-party platforms.

He also developed elliptic curve pairings in 2013, and some people use the technology today. If not working on Ethereum, Buterin would work on Zero-Knowledge Rollups. Buterin assumes that in the short-term the main focus of blockchain and cryptos will be underdeveloped countries, which will make more people willing to use crypto.

He finds that in 5-10 years, blockchain protocols will become more secure and many current issues will be solved.
