Uniswap’s announcement on the deal says the step is a part of the company's mission to provide global ownership and exchange for ERC-20 cryptos and NFTs.
With this deal, Uniswap integrates NFTs into its products, starting from the website. Soon, it will enable trading NFTs across all leading platforms. The DEX will also integrate NFTs into developers tools, making the DEX an all-in-one platform for users and Web 3 developers.
Uniswap sees NFTs as another form of valuable assets in the evolving digital sector that is not separated from ERC20s and that is already a significant gateway to web3. Uniswap will start a USDC stablecoin airdrop for Genie’s users in August.
