Ethereum-based virtual environment The Sandbox has revealed a cooperation with Cube Entertainment, a Seoul-based record label/talent management firm. With this step, The Sandbox will boost K-culture content, focusing on metaverse and non-fungible token possibilities. Animoca Brands, the company standing behind the development of The Sandbox, along with Cube, set up a venture "AniCube", which is aimed at business advancement in the metaverse.

They will partner with different companies and organize events to present Korean pop music culture in the virtual environment. On March 3, The Sandbox informed about the start of Alpha Season 3, which is a Play-to-Earn event allowing interested people to explore the platform for the first time. Players can take part by an NFT ticket called Alpha Pass, and through various experiences earn SAND, which is the native crypto of The Sandbox.
Currently, SAND trades at around $3.02. The token has a market cap of over $3.4 billion and ranks the 37th as the largest cryptocurrency.
