Previously, the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri said that the team was actively exploring non-fungible tokens. Also, the teams were considering the creation of a marketplace.
Instagram is not the only social media platform that took a step to integrate NFTs. Twitter's Twitter Blue service introduced NFT profile pictures in January, allowing users to display NFTs in their profiles by connecting their crypto wallets.
