Legendary basketball player Earvin "Magic" Johnson announced the launch of his first NFT collection. He tweeted being excited to present some of his epic moments from his career to fans.

To release the assets, Johnson partners with NBA Top Shot, an NFT platform focused on collectibles featuring historical moments on the FLOW blockchain.
The tokens will come on the market on June 7. The basketball player will join the community for a Twitter Spaces AMA on May 31.
Overall, there will be 1,600 NFT packs in the collection called “The anthology: Magic Johnson”, featuring moments of Magic's career. Each pack will include 1 NFT from either the Rare or Legendary tier, each pack valued $399.

NBA Top Shot went live in 2020 as a result of collaboration between The NBA and Dapper Labs, the developer company of the Ethereum-based game CryptoKitties.
