According to IBM, the new app can collect various information as COVID-19 test results and onsite temperature scans to form a verified health condition. Verification of health status will support the app to quickly distinguish which individuals can enter public places like stadiums, theatres, parks etc.

The vice president of IBM Watson Health Eric Piscini mentioned that Digital Health Pass intends to ensure privacy as its primary goal. He said the app will provide users to share their confirmed health right without revealing any of the underlying data used to generate it.
