The Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the PRC has declared a list of affiliates of its national blockchain committee, which is going to establish rules in the field.
To ensure that the federal criteria set by the team were consistent with applicable laws and additionally contributed to the advancement of the blockchain in China, the administration involved representatives from technology, economics, manufacturing, and academia in the committee.
The committee has 71 members representing 15 organizations - including Baidu, Tencent, Huawei, and two universities: Peking and Tsinghua.

The committee is chaired by China's Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Chen Zhaoxiong. It consists of five vice presidents (all state representatives), including those from the Digital Currencies Research Institute of the People's Bank of China.
