What is Pascal?
PascalCoin (PASC) is an open-source decentralized cryptocurrency launched in August 2016. It was written from scratch in the Pascal programming language. Unlike most cryptos, PascalCoin works without a history of transactions (for example, a locally stored blockchain), but at the same time, it can control accounts and avoid double-spending. Instead of storing account information on the blockchain, PascalCoin offers a safe system similar to bank accounts that use short, easy-to-remember account numbers. PascalCoin is generated using proof-of-work mining. Block time is 5 minutes. The block reward was incipiently set at 100 PASC and is halved every four years.
