Major crypto exchange Coinbase plans to hire more people in India by the end of the year. The company released a blog post on April 4, according to which the team intends to add 1000 new employees to the present 300 staff at its Indian tech hub, which launched in 2021.

The Chief Technology Officer of the company, Brian Armstrong said they have ambitious plans for India and intend to hire more than 1,000 people in the country this year. According to the release, the Coinbase team follows its mission to increase economic freedom worldwide. The company finds that crypto needs to be easy for anyone and anywhere to realize its potential.
Coinbase will host a crypto community event in Bangalore about the future of crypto and web 3. The company partnered with the crypto incubator Builders Tribe to host a startup pitch event on April 8. Coinbase Ventures, the investment arm of Coinbase has already invested $150 M in Indian crypto and web 3 companies. It continues to look for new ones to help Indian founders scale.
