Anthony Scaramucci's SkyBridge Starts a Fund for Bitcoin Mining

SkyBridge Bitcoin Mining

Global investment company SkyBridge Capital, founded and run by financier Anthony Scaramucci started a new investment vehicle focused on Bitcoin mining. According to a US SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) filing, the investment product called SkyBridge BTC Mining L.P. raised around $7 M.

The New York-based company created the fund for limited partners to co-invest in one of the leading Bitcoin mining firms, Genesis Digital Assets founded in 2013.

In Sept. 2021, SkyBridge participated in the funding round of Genesis, when the company secured around $431 M. Last month, the company revealed a new self-hosted BTC mining data center in Sweden. The center aims to have 100 megawatts power online by 2024.

The farm will use 100% clean energy sources. Previously, the company also invested in several publicly traded miners including Core Scientific (CORZ), Bitfarms (BITF), Marathon Digital (MARA), Riot Blockchain (RIOT), and others.
